It has long been a favorite thing of mine to read the Beats. Granted, most of these people were either dead or barely hanging on to life in their later years when I first found them, but this is my way of contributing, of giving back a little to anyone else looking for the sort of information that I enjoy involving myself with.

Blog
This is maintained as a way to aggregate news pieces, events, photos and more from around the internet. I try to keep things on a semi-current basis, but occasionally find older information worth sharing. If you’d like to see something included in the blog, you can suggest a link by clicking here.
Literary Criticism
Contains all the critical pieces of writing that I can find that focus on the Beat Generation as one large group of artists rather than on one person. More on the individual in the next section, though.
Madmen, Poets and Writers
On these pages you’ll find information (Interest, Literary Criticism, etc.) and consumable media (Audio, Video, etc.) on each artist. These pages are far from complete, with additional pages being added as my time permits.
Twitter (#beatgeneration)
So what is that box in the sidebar? It’s the feed for the #beatgeneration hashtag search on Twitter. What this means is that anytime someone posts to twitter and their tweet contains the text “#beatgeneration” it will end up in our sidebar. If you’ve posted something and it hasn’t shown up yet, please wait at least one hour as RSS feeds (when going through WordPress) are only able to update once per hour. Irrelevant content need not apply.
I do my best to provide as much free, open source information as I can find. This means that whenever possible, I use material licensed under the Creative Commons. If I’ve unintentionally used something that belongs to you, please contact me to resolve the issue.
